Decals designed to overlay the SS™ badges on the doors and rear trunk lid of the 2006-2008 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. These are GM licensed, computer-cut decals with a lifetime warranty!
- Door Badge Overlays are sold as a PAIR. You will receive two overlays, one to cover the badge on each door.
- The rear lift gate overlay is sold as a single overlay to cover the one badge.
- Order both the door badge overlays and trunk overlay and you will receive three (3) pieces.
Product Installation Instructions
General suggestions for the installation:
1. We recommend washing the entire car first. Next, clean the application areas (badges, indents, etc…) with rubbing alcohol several times to remove any other oil or dirt. Q-Tips help with cleaning out crevices. Be sure there is no alcohol or water on the badge during the decal application.
2. For best results, work in a relatively warm, dry area and allow the working surface to change to the room temperature before application. It's recommended to work in 50 ° F or warmer) temperatures.
3. Before peeling off the backing, check the positioning.
4. When applying, work from top to bottom or left to right, holding the unapplied material away from the surface. Most colors (except Black and Lemon Yellow) will stretch a bit if absolutely necessary.
5. After Application, be sure to press the labels down firmly to ensure no air bubbles get trapped and to make sure the adhesive sticks. It's critical that you rub down the whole decal firmly to activate the adhesive and let the decal sit for at least 15 minutes before removing the mask (if it has one).
6. Try to let the adhesive set for 24 hours before washing the car again after decal application.
Product-specific recommendations:
SS ™ Badge Overlays (doors and trunk)
• Size up the decals to know which ones you will use on the doors and which one on the trunk.
• The decals are sandwiched between the white backing and a clear masking.
• Carefully peel the decal off the backing by holding the mask. Rub it down prior to be sure the decal sticks to the masking.
• Hold the decal over the badge, looking through the mask to line it up. It's easiest to line up the top right corners of each S.
• Once you are sure of its position, press the decal down on the top, then work your way down the middle and to the bottom.
• Wait about 15 minutes before removing the mask to ensure the decal is stuck to the badge.
If you ordered the Reflec-Dome option, apply in the same manner, but just peel and stick- there is no clear masking over the top.
