Product Installation Instructions
General suggestions for the installation:
1. We recommend washing the entire car first. Next, clean the application areas (badges, indents, etc…) with rubbing alcohol several times to remove any other oil or dirt. Q-Tips help with cleaning out crevices. Be sure there is no alcohol or water on the badge during the decal application.
2. For best results, work in a relatively warm, dry area and allow the working surface to change to the room temperature before application. It’s recommended to work in 50° F or warmer) temperatures.
Product-specific recommendations:
· It is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you thoroughly clean the side marker lenses with soap and/or rubbing alcohol prior to installation. Be sure to remove any dirt, especially on the edges. The car must be cool so you’re not applying these around heat.
· Match up the decals to the vehicle being sure you know which decal goes on which side of the car.
· Next, wet the surface with soap & water (one drop of dish soap in a spray bottle full of water). Be sure the entire lens is thoroughly wet, you don’t want any dry spots.
· CAREFULLY peel the decal from the white backing. Lightly spray the back of the vinyl with the soap and water.
· Place and align the vinyl on the wet surface of the side marker lens. Center it up as best as you can, then you can slide it around until it’s right where you want it.
· Once applied where you want it, use a squeegee (or other soft, flat tool like a credit card) and apply slight pressure the graphic to remove the excess fluid. Be careful not to apply too much pressure as the vinyl can be scratched or ripped. Start at the center of the graphic and work out in all directions until the water and air bubbles are out from under the vinyl.
